What is a Capsule within a Capsule?

The “capsule within a capsule” technology allows us to insert a smaller inner capsule with a different composition into the outer capsule.

This way, we can combine two different formulations in one product that have:
• different compositions (e.g., powder and oil suspension),
• different purposes (e.g., protection + active function),
• different temporal or spatial release profiles (e.g., one releases in the stomach, the other in the intestines).
This approach enables products that cannot be created with conventional encapsulation.

How Does Capsule within a Capsule Work?

Using special precision filling technology at Capsula 3, we create a dual capsule structure:

Upon ingestion, the outer capsule dissolves first, while the inner capsule releases its contents later – either with a delay or at a different point in the digestive tract.
